All learners receive a complimentary FAMH workbook, and upon successful completion of their chosen course an online certificate.
Learners will not diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by healthcare professionals but they will gain the knowledge to identify when a person may have a condition and know how they can help.
Qualifications are assessed through practical demonstration of the first aid action plan for mental health and a written assessment.
Learners must pass both assessments to be awarded the qualification. There is no grading of assessments, learners pass or are referred.
It is strongly recommended that learners attend annual refresher training.
Learners will need to complete the full course in three years to re-qualify.
